YESTERDAY'S DAWN
TURKSONTHEPOET
Here I stand
In the spot of our day of meeting
In the spot where you said a yes
In the spot of our undying statuesque memories
Thinking, maybe that ‘it’s over’ was just a dream of yesterday
but it wasn’t
How could you?
SAM PETROS
How could you
Make me sleep on your words
My life was ringed round your promises
Promises of never-ending love
You make me scrutinized our love
For Romeo and Juliet's
But, Now here we are
In a nowhere land
TURKSONTHEPOET
A land you created with your infidelity
A land that whispers sweet melodies of hurt
I believed in you
I made your words a life to my void world
I made you the first rains that visited my forlorn desert
but now
I’ve become a sheep without a shepherd
and a scout of many hearts
SAM PETROS
My heart
Fell in love with death
At the rejection from you
I was betrayed by the your sincere hostility
What a beast you are
To turn a breeze of love
TURKSONTHEPOET
Tears that my eyes only spoke
Distances my love only covered
Pains my heart only endured
All those silent nights and cries
I missed you
I loved you
I waited for a second chance
Uhm, it doesn’t matter
because all those feelings
were meant for the innocence of the person I knew
The person who believed in us
The person who revered integrity
The person who once loved to travel the thirst with me.
SAM PETROS
But it seems the man Is dead
Buried within this carcass called body
He's lost
Lost to be found lost
A useless commodity
